You left the hospital with slight jaundice and we pray it gets better over the next few days. Also you ruptured a blood vessel in your left eye during delivery. Here you are in your new cot.
You woke up every 2 hours the night you came home to feed and Mum devotedly fed you. Dad tried to wake up as many times as possible to help Mum. You cry very loudly to be fed, which is good as we are able to tell it apart from your other discomforts.
You had your first bath at home with the help of our confinement lady, Annie. She’s a good help, but very discouraging towards your Mum with regards to total breastfeeding. But as Mum wants the best for you, she will stick with it as much as she can, and I appreciate and admire her devotion.
You kick and cry alot when being washed, and your Mum and I keep laughing over the resistance you offer.
Here’s Grandma bathing Dad, 30 years ago.
And here you are being suntanned to dry to reduce your jaundice. We hope it works as your eye whites look yellow from time to time. Tomorrow Dad will bring you downstairs to get more sun and hope your jaundice goes away.
You seem to be enjoying your tanning session quite a bit. 🙂
