Here’s a figure that’s quite good fun.
I’ve never heard of Hero86 the toy company before this figure, but decided to give this figure a go, based on the weight of it in hand and how it looked in it’s package.
The official specs tout this figure as having:
– a height of 15cm
– 70% Diecast; all black parts including head, arms, legs and body
– Over 20 action joints
– 3 pairs of gloves
A simple package executed quite nicely. Hopefully for Disney/Mickey fans, the #001 means the other cast members are lined up. But whether they see the light of day depends very much on how well this figure sells.
I’ve learnt from Chogokin collectors that it is best to use gloves to handle these pieces, as the acidity in your hands will tend to corrode the metal bits. Better safe then sorry.
Hero86 packed in a surprise not listed in their promo copy, in the form of a Santa cap. Here’s everything the figure comes with.
Here’s a closer look at this figure, out of the package.
With his Santa cap.
Hero86 sure wasn’t bollocking about Mickey’s points-of-articulation.
Here’s how he measures up against Hasbro’s Logan and Enterbay’s Mr Bean.
The main appeal of this figure to me is the hefty diecast content, as well as the articulation. While it may struggle to find a spot in my collection, I felt this was a figure not to be missed. Disney/Mickey fans may want to hunt him down, he makes quite an excellent display piece.
