I initially wanted to pass on this SDCC exclusive, but having scored Hot Toys T-1000, the additional T-1000 head that came with this figure was too difficult to resist.
I did pick up the normal version of Hot Toys Sarah Connor earlier, but I think the sculpt and paint on this figure has that beat. Also, the rooted hair turned out quite well. In T2, the T-1000 was found out when his feet started to melt into the magnetic platform in the factory. The base allows you to recreate this scene by simply removing Sarah Connor’s boots and plugging the joints into the plastic feet that are part of the base. The base is made of one square piece and four equilateral triangles which can be combined to form another square platform. This is perfect for placing related figures. As mentioned earlier, the highlight of this set for me is the additional T-1000 head, which is sculpted as how it appears after receiving a bullet shot to it’s right eye. The T-1000 head that comes with this figure looks awesome when fitted on to the Hot Toys T-1000 figure. Here’s all versions of Hot Toys T-1000. To kitbash the traffic officer T-1000, I added a narrow shoulder Hot Toys True Type body and white tee to the normal headsculpt of T-1000 and the other set of gear. I didn’t place the shades on that figure as I know for a fact that in our humid climate, the paint from the shades can melt and stain the face. Finally, a group photo of the T2 figures I have so far. If you don’t have a figure of Mammy Connor, this is a very good option. Even more so if you already have the Hot Toys T-1000, as the additional T-1000 head can be quite a draw.
